Sometimes you get lucky when you switch around on the TV and find the start of a movie...and sometimes you don't. The Jackal was one of the movies I had on Laserdisc back in the day. I seem to remember it somewhat better than it apparently is. Bruce Willis with a LOT of bad disguises. Richard Gere with the most laughable Irish accent ever. Sidney Poitier is just old. The list goes on and on... The best part in the whole movie was the rather violent killing of Jack Black's character. I bet there's a lot of people that has dreamed about doing just that... To be a little serious...If you want a good movie experience...look elsewhere. The Jackal is just mediocre, and you don't really lose anything by skipping it...

Mediocre action thriller with a big miscast (Richard Gere). You can skip this flick without second thoughts because there are so many better action movies available!

This is one I've seen several times over the years and while certainly not great and it is funny hearing Richard Gere with an Irish accent and the numerous hair changes with Bruce Willis, I still find it watchable and somewhat entertaining.
