Young Anthony Soprano is growing up in one of the most tumultuous eras in Newark, N.J., history, becoming a man just as rival gangsters start to rise up and challenge the all-powerful DiMeo crime family. Honestly the first half of this Movie could of easily been removed. Im so gutted with how bad it was. DO not recommend at all. Its a shame because i just finished rewatching the tv series. TO me personally it feels like an over correction from the tv show for not having African Americans in it. The first half of this movie is about riots and Teenage tony isn't even in the MOVIE!?!?!? It lost me completely.

I had high hopes for this but I'm dissappointed. Didn't focus on Tony nor Dickie, instead we see too much partial stories unrelated to the series. And seriously what the hell was that ending?!

The Many Saints of Newark is The Sopranos meets The Godfather Part II, and the result is so much less than the sum of its parts. Do we really need to know that Tony Soprano was once a chubby brat?

Moreover, do we really want to know that that chubby brat grew up to be Michael Gandolfini? Michael More
