Eddie Murphy stars as shy Dr. Sherman Klump, a kind, brilliant, 'calorifically challenged' genetic professor. Eddie Murphy was a superstar in the 80s and 90s. He could not go wrong, every movie he shot was a success. In my opinion, he was above his peak when he made The Nutty Professor. Eddie Murphy does Eddie Murphy times X. One of the most blatant self-expressions ever put to film. Everybody else in this movie are just extras. That's just too much.
