A masked serial killer with psychosexual issues strangles female coeds with scarves before dismembering them. Such a killer giallo! Probably one of my favorite. Great music, great suspense, great cinematography, and a great killer. It's also a proto-slasher, which gives it even more clout. Strange that when people talk about the origins of the slasher film, they often cite things like Halloween or Black Christmas, or if they dig deeper Psycho or Peeping Tom, but for some odd reason this one is rarely brought up, even though it's very clear to have inspired many elements of that genre.

really wanted more from this movie. the first half is good old giallo then it drops off into a jitter to mess of incoherency.

The last act is pretty good, tense stuff....up to that point though kind of middle of the road.

Kind of a dull giallo horror-thriller that only picks up for the last 15 minutes, otherwise pretty forgettable. **2.75/5**
