This movie is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be, and I suspect that the ones who think it is are just impatient. Great film imo.

One of my favorite things about this film is that there is a bit of a discovery that takes place during the movie. As the great Patrice O'Neal once said, sometimes he wishes he knew how to watch a movie. It takes a while to figure out where this one was going - is there a mystery? Are there many mysteries? Something supernatural? Are they all delusional? I thought that the journey was fantastic and that the ending fit the movie. I really enjoyed it.

(side note - I struggle with Paula Malcomson being in movies because all I hear is the Boston accent from Ray Donovan)

Another weird artsy movie that mistakes 'nonsensical' for 'deep'.

Only good things were Daddario's knockers and the color scheme.

Great acting, scenery, cinematography and story telling. Ending is just not there. Ruined it for me.

A true original; this is a film quite unlike anything you have seen before. Ignore the critics on this page; yes, it's slow, but it isn't unrewarding. This treads a fine line between camp and mystery with a wonderful Crispin Glover rambling on about boxes and begrudged sausages, and the two leading ladies who, in different ways, are as cuckoo as each other.

One of the biggest disappointments of this year. I was so excited for this movie, the trailer made it look incredible. However it let me down on so many levels. I might just read the book to see how much they failed

a -for me- pretty forgettable movie, lost concentration multiple times and didn't get the point of this movie. (If you'd ask me what it is about or what happened I would've had no idea) Im not saying this movie is absolutely bad, but its definitely not for me.
but the acting, especially from Daddario was very good. [/spoiler]

Honestly, I couldn't follow the movie. I found myself playing games on my phone. It was ok but weird as hell. Good luck everyone! Was a waste of 2 hours for me.

The movie is actually quite close to the novel but some things just felt off.

Sebastian was great as Charles (love him as an actor, hated him in this movie haha) and Alexandra was also a perfect choice for Constance but the girl who played Merricat did not fit the Merricat from the book. Besides that I just felt like the movie maybe should have been a bit grittier, darker. I did enjoy the movie though, I'm happy they tried to keep it close to its book although they definitely made it less heavy.
