Decent enough documentary on A & F. Personally I never paid any attention to this store in high school outside of the smell which gave me a headache just walking by it. However this opened my eyes to the terrible business practices that lasted for a very long time, that's just outrageous.

I used to love this brand, which was very appealing to most tourists or visitors from western Europe, like me. Naturally I was interested by the documentary. While I learnt a few interesting things, I also had to go through 1.5 hours of bunch of SJW telling me how A&F was essentially a symbol of white supremacy. It is not said, but heavily implied. Their models were so white the store staff was so white, etc. While employment discrimination is bad and must be condemned, it is ironic that today most fashion brands clearly and blatantly favor models (especially male) "of color" despite most of their target audience being white. At least A&F was catering to a target audience albeit wrongfully. Today's fashion brands just want to be woke. I work for one of them. In the end, just Wokeflix being woke.

I'm five minutes in and this has the feel of one of those television, CNN Decades Series.. sort of dumbed down pop-corn fare. Doc caught my attention cuz a designer friend who I adored and was taken way too early was into A&F. But so far, not impressed with director Alison Klayman. Her Alanis Morissette doc is similarly sophomoric—but at least a more interesting subject. Klayman churns out a lot of work, like almost a doc a year.. don't know if that bodes well, or merely a signal of superficial work and process?

boycott abercrombie and fitch babes. this was really well done easy to follow along with. looked at many different angles over the years of the company.
