Pretty much just another crime drama show, although it trends on the quirky side, similar to Rizzoli & Isles and Bones. The one thing about this show that keeps me watching though is Captain Hammer. Nathan Fillion could have a show about tying shoelaces and I would probably still watch.

I've come to the conclusion that this is a show is about two psychopaths. You have two people who week after week are tortured, shot, stabbed, kidnapped, beaten or in some other manner nearly killed, yet, afterwards it's a romantic dinner, some sexual innuendos and work as usual the following morning. These are two sick twisted individuals.

This is one of those series in which you don't really care too much about the stories you just love to follow the characters. Nathan Fillion is perfect as Castle.
