[tv+] It tries unsuccessfully to combine a silly sense of humor and some thriller elements, a combination that works best in "The Righteous Gemstones" (HBO Max, 2019-), for example. There isn't much Patricia Arquette can do with a character as narratively unstable as hers, but she doesn't convey a real connection to the protagonist either. In the end, it's a weird and generally boring mix of scam, detectives, family instability and art forgery, but it never manages to be so extraordinarily wacky as to be at least funny.

Three episodes in. Personally, I couldn't get into this series whatsoever. It's below average in a sea of choices. It's painfully predictable and not funny, and so boring and forced. I feel like this series pairs well with _Poker Face_ on Peacock, another show that I didn't like.

The only thing that is even remotely interesting about this show, is the only thing that the show creators have put attention and effort into... the show's premise... the promise of a good show begins and ends there... some person sitting in Apple Studios must have just read that and given the show eight episodes... there is no other rationale to how this show procured an entire season, let alone a pilot... **Avoid like you will get _malignant cancer_ from watching it**...
