This is feeling like The Walking Dead. Take an interesting plot and focus so much on drama that it becomes boring. I'm all for character development but I sure hope things start to happen in the show. This is no Falling Skies nor Colony but it sure isn't The Expanse either. Jury is still out

They should have made one episode out of the first three with less family melodrama and maybe it would have been less of a snoozefest.

The show is so boring it’s like watching paint drying

You know those times when someone has some information you need or want, but for some damn reason they are incredibly slow talkers and can't seem to get to the damn point. Irritating as hell, isn't it? Invasion is that person. Trickles of information comes through, but most of the time it's gibberish or just silence. Ten episodes to tell what amounts to maybe two, two and a half hours of real content. Well done guys... Instead of making a movie, you made a whole TV-series, and for some unfathomable reason, you're apparently not done yet.

Invasion could have been a high point this year, but from reason they chose to squander some quite good actors time on a script that could have bored the hell out of a tortoise. Too bad the few minutes of each episode that actually made some sense made me want to see what happened next, so I guess I'll skip my way through another season when it comes out. I had no idea I had masochistic tendencies before this show came out...

It just drags on and on. There are more scenes of people staring into nothingness, lying in bed or putting on their socks than of anything that moves the plot forward. Why bother claiming there is an alien invasion to support a patchwork of pointless personal stories?

This is literally the worst Sci-fi TV show or video/audio content overall with Sci-fi genre ever created. After Episode 6 which even has mistakes on Alien being, yes, they literally skipped/missed CGI on couple of moments (car scene). I would consider myself crazy if I continue with Ep. 7...

I feel like they will make this a 5 season TV Show that had to be packed in 1 season. But hey, everyone has different taste for TV Shows, if you want to get at least some action for the 1st time in Ep. 5 and 6 with first 4 Episodes of absolute nothing, then this is for you.

I been waiting so long and instead sf action I got a Japanese homo-astronaut.. of course.. first gay has been introduced in first 10minutes -Apple doesn't disappoint in this kind of subjects :) and also we got a fight between couple with race allegations...

So for 3 hours of film, we get no more than 10 minutes of sci-fi and everything else is just stupid, boring, annoying human drama with silence and stares into nothingness. This show is not about aliens, it's about cheating husbands, lesbians, school bullies, soldiers far from home, and religious morons. It is so suitable for this network. They did the same thing with "Foundation". A good plot with a big budget, a good cast, and a big pile of rotting crap beneath all of it. It's just like an Apple product.

Okay, I'm out. The idea of showing us an alien invasion through multiple POVs around the world is fantastic, but they clearly didn't have enough material to fill a season, because all we get are tired character moments with little tidbits of alien action. To call it a "slow burn" is to overlook just how wet and slow things are. You'll find yourself wishing the aliens would kill the main cast already because there's no reason to watch otherwise.

It's too bad, because performances and cinematography are pretty good. But this show is an expensive nothingburger.

The writers of this show are so ignorant of other cultures they just had a Japanese woman take off her shoes….in her living room.

3 episodes already and still focusing on character development to the point of boring. Actually, way too many characters. Hoping for a non starter series to hopefully get better. :)

I loved it. The story develops in a slow pace. I like the characters and most actors are doing a great job. Found it very entertaining.

It's a trap! A **drama** show with insignificant scifi. This is like Netflix's Away but worse. At least that show didn't try to trick you with the title. I was expecting as they released three episodes at once at least the 3rd episodes would get things going. No they don't. I was ok with the slow burn in the first two episodes to present the main cast and their back stories so we'll care about them. But then in 3rd episodes they just keep going. Maybe I'll watch 4th episode. Though if it's the same drama only show I'm dropping it.

The marine and Afghan talking by the fire was so cringe. They just keep talking forever. I was yelling CUT! Come on CUT the scene! No they keep talking forever.

edit: 4th episode is just as bad as 1-3. What a horrible show. Dropped.

Well, it's Apple TV, so expect woke propaganda to be spoon fed to you and that Apple mandates that there always be prominent gay leads in their shows, except in Ted Lasso that was actually developed for another network and bought by Apple and is, unsurprisingly, the most successful Apple show (and one of the most successful shows on TV).

So this show has the Apple wokeness. And is SOOOOOOOO slow and is about 10% sci-fi and 90% life drama about people you have no reason to care about.

This seems to be an effort to spend a lot of money to tell a story of uninteresting people living lackluster lives. They are so wrapped up in themselves, that they recognize nothing occurring around them. A tale for our times.

So much hype... I think they released 3 epsodes to hopefully hook some people into the story because its heavy on drama.... the first way ok.. the second was a little bloated..the 3rd just boring, i started hitting the fast forward button to each next scene..
