This was a good series, until they decided to stretch it into two seasons. Watch the first season - everything is there to resolve the mystery but don’t bother with the second. It destroys the character arch and has a disappointing resolution to the needless 2nd season. I give the first season a 7 (good) our if 10. [Who done it?]

I must say the first season was really good. The suspenses were off the roof. You might find yourself at times rooting for the bad guy :) Second season seems to be decent thus far but clearly a stretch.

Liar is an accurate title for this series. With so much lying taking place from the start, I didn't know how to separate the truth from the lies. I actually wonder if this would have been more interesting if my first theory had been correct. My first theory was [spoiler]that Laura was a complete nut and had been going around accusing different men of raping her and Andrew had actually been set up. Even though this was very well acted in my opinion, it ended up being more predictable the way it went.[/spoiler]

The inaugural season of 'Liar' was an exceptional display of storytelling and character development, captivating audiences with its intricate plot and dynamic performances. The conclusion of this season could have served as a fitting denouement, leaving viewers satisfied with its resolution. In contrast, the second season, although it attempts to provide further explanation and context, falls short in its execution. The pacing is noticeably slower, detracting from the show's earlier momentum. Additionally, there seems to be a disconnect in the portrayal of the characters, despite them being played by the same actors. This inconsistency in character depiction undermines the authenticity and engagement that the first season so brilliantly established.
