A little (way) over the top, and I'm not sure if it is canon anymore (or if it ever was) now with the introduction of the Clone Wars animated series (that I haven't seen at this point).

It's quite good however - from an animation and cinematography point of view. Much more interesting and enjoyable than the clusterfuck prequel movies themselves and quite possibly my favorite piece of Star Wars fiction so far.

Only the movies and “The Clone Wars” 2008 series are considered canon (http://www.starwars.com/news/the-legendary-star-wars-expanded-universe-turns-a-new-page). That said I've watched two seasons of “The Clone Wars” (2008) and action seems to start later than “Clone Wars” (2003) and align without any inconsistencies.

@marek-saji Not sure now in the Disney days. But back then, George Lucas said this series was the prequel to the 2008 one

Loved it. All of the characters are 100 times more badass. Even the clones have achieved maximum asskickery.

Not a fan of this. Love what Gendy does with the scale of the action as well as how well the sound design is here, but the overall product stays limited in its format: being a bridge for Episode III. Not so much character progression, not much story in general. Also, kind of goes against the overall point of the prequels. While they showed the jedis in action, George Lucas was constantly critical of its methods, being the reason why Anakin even considers the dark side in the first place. But Gendy has fun, considers them honorable and by the end neither makes a base or continues any of the ideas explore by Lucas in his films.
There’s only one point regarding Anakin becoming a white savior that makes some good irony of what he will become, the literal oppressor of this kind of alien creatures. Really wished that the show followed more that route.
Anyway, Mace Windu destroys an army of droids alone in one of the most over the top and satisfactory sequences ever animated, so what do I know?

This is not the Republic propoganda you are looking for.

While, this series is no longer considered canon, I believe that it fits better with respect to continuity than the 2008 CGI animated series.
Additionally, as is always the case, Genndy Tartakovsky's unique ar tstyle and animation is gorgeous.
