Easily could have been four episodes instead of the laborious six it was. WAY too much time focused on the self-centered, woe-is-me loser “Lily”, and lots of repetitive moments that should’ve been cut. Interesting story, but I absolutely will never watch it again.

Losers and the people who take advantage of them! They have a conference every year but to be honest, I never really learned what they stood for or what their goals were. It just focuses on a few people hanging out in Acapulco. Half the prey and half the predators. None of who are interesting...

[HBO Max] A messy, repetitive documentary that starts out trying to understand a community calling itself "anarchists", and ends up so infected by true crime sensationalism that it ends up literally showing a person dying. The director seems more comfortable in the gloomy underworld of the drama than in the analysis of the rejection of the State. Which, if it were titled "Death in Acapulco", could be justified.

I have been waiting for years for someone to objectively cover this movement. I'm hopeful that it will be objective, but from the foreshadowing in the first episode, they will be concentrating on one incident instead of the whole of the movement. It's unfortunate, but that's what sells.

This is an amazing documentary. Obviously when the guy started documenting it with the first year, he imagined it was going somewhere else, but by the end of the first year, it's extremely naive to not realize where it was going.
