What an absolute joy to watch! A real gem of a series! The photography and costumes are great. The improv is beyond amazing! I really hope they continue with the actual book adaptation.

History according to the BBC? There where no blackmen then in Yorkshire. early 20 century a few in Leeds merited Blackman Lane Leeds 6.

I can totally understand other people not getting this show and scoring it low, it’s a very unique show, it’s historical but with a hint of modern vernacular….
The dialogue is long and slow at times with loads of pauses and made up on the hoof, giving it a realistic honest at times. More
