About Watchmode's universal search

Watchmode indexes the catalogs of more than 85 streaming services in one place, so a single search tells you everywhere a movie or show is available. Rather than opening each app in turn, you filter once and see every match across subscription, free ad-supported, rental, and purchase options.

The filter panel narrows results by service, content type, genre, release year, language, cast and crew, production company, and descriptive tags. Two independent quality filters are available: a 0 to 10 user rating aggregated from audience scores, and a 0 to 100 critic score aggregated from professional reviews. Hide options strip out categories you never want to see, such as short films, documentaries, or titles with very few ratings.

Availability is region-specific and defaults to the United States. Signed-in members can restrict a search to the services they already pay for, save any combination of filters as a named search with its own shareable URL, and pick that search back up from any device.

Frequently asked questions

Can I search every streaming service at once?
Yes. A Watchmode browse search runs across all 85+ streaming services we track at the same time, rather than making you check Netflix, then Hulu, then Prime Video separately. Narrow the results with the filters on this page and every service is searched on each change.
Which streaming services does Watchmode cover?
Subscription services such as Netflix, Hulu, Max, and Disney+; free ad-supported services such as Tubi and Pluto TV; and rental or purchase storefronts such as Apple TV and Amazon. Use the service type filter to include or exclude each category, or sign in and choose "My Services" to search only the services you subscribe to.
How do I find what is free to stream?
Select "Free" under service type in the filter panel. That restricts results to titles available on ad-supported and free-with-signup services, excluding anything that requires a paid subscription, rental, or purchase.
What is the difference between user rating and critic score?
User rating is a 0 to 10 score aggregated from audience ratings. Critic score is a 0 to 100 score aggregated from professional reviews. They move independently, so filtering on both is a good way to find titles that critics and viewers agree on.
Can I save a search and come back to it?
Yes. With a free Watchmode account you can save any combination of filters from the Save Search button at the top of this page. Saved searches get their own URL, so you can return to them later or share them with someone else.
Does Watchmode show what is streaming in my country?
Results are shown for your selected streaming region, which defaults to the United States. Streaming rights vary by country, so a title available in one region may be missing or on a different service in another.
