Wonderfully imaginative film. The taxidermy really starts to get cute as the movie goes on and the actress who plays Alice was a perfect fit. I really want one of those tarts now.

among my favorite visuals out of all the things i've watched in 2025, for sure. incredible stop motion work too. i do think in the back half things start to feel a bit drawn out and repetitive (mainly the court case but even some of the bits with the siege sequence with the animals) which is keeping me from rating this a bit higher but there's a ton to love here.
