Aragne: Sign of Vermillion

Weird, that's for sure, probably some really good ideas, a nice looking visual style, but the first thing you notice, it's that the animation is very rough and bumpy. Not just a little, so much that it's immediately noticeable and annoying. It looks like it's missing half the images. There are a looot of concepts, a strange virus, medical experimentations, spirit bugs, but it's all mixed up, and no idea is really followed to the end. It doesn't help that the main character is almost mute and alone. There are a few other characters, but they're just passing for a scene or two and disappears before adding much to the understanding of what's happening. Add to that the girl's hallucinations and you never really know what you're looking at. There a re probably some interesting takes on this, but you proably need to watch it well rested with a guide book.
