I dont know why people hate this movie, i loved it. Its a good action movie with a bunch of actors that we know...not the best movie ever but surely entertainable for 1,5 hours

Bad movie. When I saw the scene at the beginning when the woman gets locked in the attic by statham, totally frightened at the moment and a few moments later when he left she stands up hammering against the locked door and screaming - hilarious! I mean she know for sure he's still there but still screaming and trying to get out, come on...

This is one of my all-time favourite movies, it's so suspenseful with small comedic aspects throughout which makes it such a joy to watch. I don't know why the rating is so low and people give this movie a bad rap, for a 2004 flick it's done incredibly well and is very entertaining!!

Plot is way overstretched (ie, there's a dozen moments where the situation could've been resolved by smarter people), so you have 90 min of people making dumb decisions to keep the movie going. The movie does manage to keep the tension up, so you may still be entertained in between sequences of people acting like total idiots. Most enjoyable (read: laughable) part was watching the closing credits where they cut the roles into a first person shot of a hand holding the exact same phone, even when preceded by a scene where a character was holding a completely different device… at least Nokia got their money's worth in advertisement. Not an insufferably bad movie; just subpar.

This could have been so very much better if only the story had not built the entire sense of jeopardy on three or four implausibly stupid strokes of misfortune. Chris Evans is the recipient of a strange phone call from a woman (Kim Basinger) who has been kidnapped and as she is locked in an attic, s More
