Cuerpo Celeste - Comments & Tips

[SSIFF '25] The first part of the film unfolds in a familiar setting surrounded by the sound of waves, conveying a corporeality that lingers on glances and sensations. Perhaps there is a bit too much subtlety at times, demanding greater attention to detail, but it cleverly reflects Celeste's transformation between her early puberty, when she asked questions without expecting answers, and her transition to adulthood, when she questions in order to obtain them. Awareness dawns in the protagonist as the hidden traces of her past are unearthed from the sand.
