For someone who visited Palawan for several time in the time span of 5 years, the changes are already drastic even in a traveller's eyes. So what's behind tourism surface, must be something even bigger. Thanks for this film to let us know what is behind all this tourism booming in the last frontier of Philippines. Hope it doesn't turn into a lost frontier and become another Boracay.
[Sheffield/Doc '22] More interesting than "The territory" (2022), this film builds a triangular story that not only talks about the risky work of environmental defenders, but above all of the profound climate of corruption that ex-president Duterte has protected in the Philippines. The aerial shots are significant of the destruction of a paradisiacal natural environment that is precisely what attracts tourism.
