Don Verdean - Comments & Tips

I don't know anything about the director that made this movie, but I do know and love several actors that starred in this movie. All I can say is.... wow. I can't remember the last time such an unnecessary movie was made. How can you take the great comedic actor Sam Rockwell and completely neuter him? The movie came alive for a bit when Clement became a central character in the movie, but even that got old by the end. It tried to be funny, but wasn't. It tried to be satirical and it failed at that. It ended up being just an amateurish mesh. The only positive thing that you can say about this movie is that it may have been part of what inspired McBride to create Righteous Gemstones. But this movie? It''s not a bad satire, but it''s nothing really all that stand out. It''s definitely Hess'' weakest. I chuckled a couple times, I expected much more. With the cast and crew involved this should''ve been much better...

Occasionally funny, but for followers of Jared Hess, this is a tad underwhelming.
