Dream City - Comments & Tips

Trippy. For two artists Dream City become a liberal utopian nightmare. I viewed this movie as a criticism of some art types. How unhealthy mental states its need for escapism/creating is dismissed as freedom of expression, and labbeled as art. It shows the face of art sophistication, liberal ideology, and all the sleaze and animalism that exists below the facade. Dream city is a lunatic asylum fronting as a healthy progressive community. Bit like our own modern age in some ways. I don't think we're at Dream City levels of insanity just yet though. The movie can be slow and feels a little too long. The ending is very unfocused. The whole movie needed a clearer progression.
