Overview
A family migrates to Istanbul from the rural parts of Anatolia, and they bring their traditions with them. The men of the family are giving away the girls of the family in return for a hefty bride-price. Zelha, one of the girls, revolts against this attitude and tries to save her sisters.

Wedding (1973) – Film Review The second film of the series. In the first film, Hülya was married to Kamuran Usluer’s brother. There are brothers in this film too, so at first I thought it was a sequel. However, the family in the first film came from Yozgat; this time they come from bloody Urfa, the city that kills dogs. Ahmet Mekin is also in the cast again. It tells the story of a family trying to survive in the city. People who are victims of migration and economic injustices are again on display. No matter how hard they work, they cannot find a regular life. Their lives become even more difficult with the unhappy marriages they are forced into. They could not get together with Ahmet Mekin again, because they were told, “Habibe is there.” Also, when her brother is released from prison, the events seem to develop even more. I give it 7/10. There are some ridiculous scenes, it is not as strong as the first film. Now I will watch the third film of the series.
