This movie, although a war film, carries a strong antiwar message. It clearly conveys that war impacts both sides of the conflict, affecting soldiers and their families on both sides. Additionally, it serves as a tribute to Dharmendra, as it was his last film. The story is well-crafted, though there are a few weak points in its execution. The dual timeline narrative may confuse some viewers. Overall, it’s a good movie.

The film is good except the lead could have been played by a real actor. This guy clearly can't act and it's very obvious throughout the movie making the whole experience a bit sour. Everybody else did a great job.

What a banger of a film to start the year! I honestly didn’t expect it to be this good, especially since the actors are relatively new to the screen. However, they absolutely blew me away. The cinematography was incredible—the war sequences, particularly the night scenes, were a standout. It didn’t even feel like a typical Bollywood film; it felt like witnessing a Call of Duty cutscene come to life. It gave off heavy All Quiet on the Western Front vibes, which is my favorite war movie of all time. Rest in peace, Dharmendra Ji. This was a great portrayal of the Army and retired soldiers, capturing the reality of their lives on duty. I loved how the film highlighted that soldiers often don't care about politics—they simply fight with honor. This is a must-watch on the big screen. The atmosphere and scale just wouldn't feel the same anywhere else.

It's about the 1971 war hero Lt Arun Khetrapal, MVC. The story shows his father, Brig Madan Lal, travelling to Pakistan years later and meeting Brig Naser, the Pakistani officer who had allegedly killed Lt Khetrapal in the Battle of Basantar (1971). The film portrays this meeting as warm and emotionally overwhelming because of the respect and care shown to him. Logically speaking, this film should not have been made if the makers had any sense of respect for their own soldiers, because isolating one courteous exchange within a brutal war distorts historical reality. This being an Indian film shows the more of the Pakistani point of view, equating the brave Indian army with the rapist Pakistani army. It also diminishes Arun Khetarpal's chivalry by adding a fake character in the Pakistani army who is shown at the same age as Arun and is equally fearless.
