Wow. A real story, a good horror concept, human drama, great ending, all packed in 20 minutes. Everything is suggested, there is actually absolutely nothing to see, but it still works beautifully. The idea: A wall seem to move in the house they're working on. It's 20cm further that it should. Then more, then more. So much that it should be sticking out of the house, but it doesn't. The closet is much bigger inside than outside. The day after you can't even see inside. What to do with it ? One wants to just close it and be done with the job. One wants to responsibly call the boss and authorities. One wants to explore it and make money. The discussion itself, each with their own situation and priorities, holds more character building that a lot of full length features. Then without ever showing anything, as the room is just black, we get some classical horror situations
trying to explore with a rope but the rope cut, one disappears inside and comes out crazy, something tries to grab them from inside
, nothing specially original, but greatly used with minimal effort and it just works. Ending is great too,
the same closet actually appears in the third guy's house
, actually ending the story while opening questions (
it's not just something weird that happened at a given spot, it can actually find him and move
.
