Excellent manga adaptation and more faithful to source material than I expected. Visuals are brilliant, and the action is quite good. Recommended for fans.newcomers will enjoy but not so much since it doesn't explain much, and there's a lot of chapters before this mission.

The script exposes a short but well-developed story, a rare virtue in manga adaptations. The graphics are spectacular

Very little history in this adaptation. But it doesn't do the movie a disservice and thus opens up to a wider audience. I didn't expect much since i watched the series, which was fantastic, so i was greatly rewarded here. I'm have to concur with others, the CGI was impressive. I couldn't tell if it was a real set with real props and CGI characters or CGI overlay of actors with a CGI background or all real with CGI faces. All I know is I had fun.

Gantz:0 aged well. Animations and fight sequences are still *chef kiss* in 2024. It was a lot more faithful to the manga compared to season 2 of the anime adaptation. But I can't help feeling a little disappointed with some of the changes that they made to the story. Overall a 7/10.

Sometimes you just want to watch things get fucked up. Insane stuff.

A completely over-the-top, gory, and action-packed movie. While the plot of this movie is not the strongest part of this movie, the action in this movie is so fun to watch.

Excellent movie. Eye gazing graphics and The Boss.

Best CGI EVER! but they do a mix with de original manga, still is good story

I used to read the manga back in the day but stopped when it got too repetitive. This is the problem this movie has as well. There is a good story back there somewhere, but it gets bogged down by the repetitive action sequences. The movie looks and sounds great, but could actually have been a bit shorter to keep my interest throughout. In any case....fans of the manga will have a lot to enjoy with this one. For the rest, I suggest you read yourself up on Gantz before watching. It certainly isn't for everyone...

_Gantz:O_ is a sci-fi video game trip with only one speed, so thank God it's fast!

Out of all the GANTZ film adaptations, GANTZ:O is easily the strongest. Unlike the two live-action movies, this one feels like it actually earns its place in the universe. While it doesn't feature the original crew, it follows a different GANTZ team in Osaka, expanding the world with fresh energy and giving long-time fans some new context. It's not just a rehash, it adds something. The 3DCG animation is slick and polished, with a stylized, modern aesthetic that leans heavily into action and monster design. It might not be revolutionary visually, but it's definitely high-quality and immersive. The action sequences are intense and chaotic in a way that fits the GANTZ tone, bloody, wild, and unrelenting. Thereโ€™s less of the existential dread that made the original anime hit so hard, but for a more straightforward action-driven take, it works. While the characters here aren't as iconic as the anime's main cast, some still manage to stand out, and the film has enough emotional weight to carry the plot. The tone is more about spectacle than introspection, but it has its moments. Also, if you saw this when you were younger, it definitely hits with a bit of nostalgia now, a strange, stylish flashback to a more brutal kind of sci-fi. Itโ€™s not better than the original show, which is in a league of its own, but itโ€™s by far the best movie in the franchise and the only one that feels genuinely worthwhile. If you're into GANTZ and want more of the world with some slick visuals, this is your best bet after the anime.
