Collegian Tree Gelbman wakes up in horror to learn that she's stuck in a parallel universe. Her boyfriend Carter is now with someone else, and her friends and fellow students seem to be completely different versions of themselves. When Tree discovers that Carter's roommate has been altering time, she finds herself once again the target of a masked killer. When the psychopath starts to go after her inner circle, Tree soon realizes that she must die over and over again to save everyone.

So they actually gave an explanation for why she was stuck in a time loop, so thumbs up for that! Also, they somehow managed to make the repetitive nature of the film, different again. I enjoyed it almost as much as the first one.

Sincerely one of the best horror sequels of recent memory. Much like the first one surprised me by coming out of nowhere to be a nifty little film, this one does the same (if not more so) Shattering my expectations. It's funny, it's smart, it's playful and just entertaining as hell. PS: there's an extra mid-credit scene so stick around for that

After the first movie, I was expecting something worse, as it is more common for sequels, but this one surprised me positively. This one may be less slasher than comedy, but is nonetheless just as entertaining. Doesn't need a sequel, but if there will be one, I'm going to watch it.

As seen in other reviews, the first 10 minutes made me think it was gonna be a horrible rehash of the first, but I waited it out and was not disappointed. There was so much new in this movie compared to the first one and once again was making me ask "who did it". Decent watch, wouldn't class it as horror though, it's not really scary at all. 8/10 2/09/2019

From the start, I was expecting the scenario would shift to another character, instead it went back to the main one from the first film.
Plus, when I heard this sequel was in development, I assumed the plot would focus on Lori trying and failing to kill Tree through the same hilarious scenario.
