questionable plot, but fantastic animation and great universe
Amazing Movie!
Absolutely stunning visuals. A very ambitious plot, perhaps overly so. I feel like this could have been two movies and fleshed out more, especially the characters. I understand this was not intended to be a character driven story, but I feel like some more backstory and development would have improved this movie even more. There was just too much to fit into 2 hours and it seems like shortcuts were taken. Even so, this is one of the best movies I have seen in a very long time.
The visuals and designs are just stunning. the story and characters are a bit on the weaker side, but still quite an enjoyable movie.
the animations and the graphic are beatiful, but the plot is... meh. I have to admit that I didn''t see the anime -so I don''t know the original plot-, but the plot is not as good as I expected. The italian dub was great, but I think japanese dub is best.

I give 7 for the animation. But the plot is pretty bad...
The animation is the only thing that makes this worth to watch. It has basically no plot. Everything is so dumb, but it looks nice.
Those who think that this movie has no story, no plot, you should watch a second, a third and probably a fourth time. The story itself makes sense. We always make the same mistakes. We have to look ahead in the future and try avoid making these mistakes again. The deep point of this movie is that no matter what happens, we have to accept our errors. Accept the fact that mankind is like a flower that grows and dies. The circle of life, it''s a circle. Civilisations rise and die; Mankind is just one of them. Barely a blink in the History of the Universe. If you want to learn a lesson, watch it. If you watch it and don''t understand....well it''s your fault. It''s like The Matrix movies, I had to watch them 3 times and the opinion of a friend to understand.
