This is not a well shot or directed film, and I wouldn't recommend it, but I have to give it the distinction that I had absolutely no idea what the twist was at the end, and that was with me already knowing that there was a twist, and thinking that knowing that had itself ruined the reveal, which it did not. However, it's still a remote possibility to guess it, so it's not like it was pulled completely out of left field at the end, so the writer deserves credit there. I did actually watch all of it, though, owing to it being a mystery box that actually has something in it, and I didn't actively hate the protagonist for the duration... so it's actually a better script than pretty much any film JJ Abrams has put out. The last few scenes were also just really amateurishly executed, which dulls the intended script kicker... which is much the same situation regarding the core plot elements of any JJ Abrams film, but that's because they never make any fucking sense. And yes, I watched this film entirely because it's currently the only readily available Stephanie Joosten film for me. She's got like five minutes of screen time, and I swear one of the shots is reused.
