I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry - Comments & Tips
Funniest gay movie, great father's day movie, awesome soundtrack
Chuck 'amp; Larry is a product of its time, blending genuine warmth with problematic humor. Itโs worth a watch for its committed performances and occasional heart, but approach with cautionโand maybe a critical eye.
I Now Pronounce You Chuck 'amp; Larry is a stupid, offensive, lazy, and homophobic film that would melt the brains of Gen-Zโs. I found it embarrassing and pathetic that the film attempts to be sincere towards gay people in the climax, even though it still is a "no homo bro" movie. But I still found it entertaining at parts. We are now in a time where your life is over if you say or do anything wrong. So, I did chuckle at the offensive jokes, not because they were funny, but because of how outdated it is, and the film itself is not that old. As soon as Rob Schneider showed up in yellowface, I checked out completely.
I watched this movie a few times when I was younger and I liked it enough to buy it on DVD at the time. This time it was a harder watch. Disrespectful "jokes" and yellowface being the biggest reasons. But there are some moments that made me breathe out loudly through my nose. It's too long and Adam Sandler's character (as per usual) is annoying. Kevin James was alright.

_I Now Pronounce You Chuck 'amp; Larry_ had its funny moments and one-liners, but it's definitely not one of Sandler's best movies. While the premise was interesting and had the potential for a great comedy, the execution fell short. Overall, it's worth a watch if you're a fan of Adam Sandler, but don't expect it to be one of his top comedic performances.
Wants to expose homophobia, but the film is bad 4.5/10
The only thing I found controversial about this was Roy Schneider's character. Everything else was kinda funny.
'gt;'"What I''m talking about is no more involved than co-signing a loan, or joining a gym.'" I put this on while I was cleaning my apartment, and yikes... I am surprised Sandler didn''t get more heat for this movie (or maybe he did and since this was in 2007 I was not into movie news). It has some issues but I can tell they were trying to teach a good lesson here, and also has some hilarious moments.
Mediocre to good comedy about two firemen who have to pretend that they are married.
