[FF Gent] The director shows an arid, unwelcoming Sicily. The protagonists do not live, they survive. Oscar and Stanley only look at the present, because they have no future. Their lives intersect only once, in a meeting that seems forced. The film walks between fiction and documentary. There are four scriptwriters, so this is a '"performed'" reality. But it doesn''t matter, because it exudes truth and honesty.
