I got this movie on a DVD some years back but never bothered with it because of the reputation it had, and the fact that I didn''t think Nazis, torture and sex would make for an evening of great entertainment... Well, I was right!! For some stupid reason, I decided to spend an hour and a half watching this piece of crap today. How bad could it be...right? Well, as it happens...pretty bad. There is nothing redeemable about this piece of trash, and it should be avoided unless you absolutely HAVE to see it. Your reasons for HAVING to see it you can keep to yourself...

Cult classic sexploitation from the 70s. Pretty hardcore sadism and softcore porn under the guise of telling a damning story about Nazi war crimes. Only worth watching if you’re a movie geek exploribg the genre.

50/100 During WWII, the titular Ilsa runs a Nazi camp conducting experiments in how much pain a woman can withstand. The disclaimer at the start proclaims these experiments are historically accurate and the film is intended to prevent these acts from occurring again. This is just an excuse to present us with as much blatant nudity, unbridled sadism, unrelenting torture and utter depravity as they can fit into 90 mins. It does grab your attention and is strangely compelling, like voyeuristically watching something awful but you can't look away. I've seen worse but still rough. -- DrNostromo.com
