[Göteborg FF] As if it were a modern version of that jewel of the hybrid documentary, '"On the Bowery'" (Lionel Rogosin, 1956), the Swedish director builds a documentary fiction around several characters who only find in drinking a way out to escape from a fucked up existence. In fact, the documentary was shot in those neighborhood pubs that the Swedes call '"sunkhak'", cheap beer bars where you are allowed to get drunk until your pockets are empty. '"There will be nothing left of us.'" That void to come, which is also a present void, flies over the images of these tired faces, around that fog that absorbs them. There is not much optimism in the film.
