Inbetween Girl - Comments & Tips

Unexpectedly mature for a coming of age story and definitely one to check out if you’re a fan of the genre. Very well done, from the writing/direction to the leads. I hope to see more from all involved.

There are a ton of coming-of-age movies out there and it is tough to find something that stands apart from the field. What I like about this movie is that it navigates through a lot of various themes without beating you over the head with them. Lesser movies may have harped on some of these themes - bad parenting, bad boys, teen angst, etc. This movie was intelligently written and the lead is just fantastic (as was the other female character, once we got to know her).
