Jack's Ride - Comments & Tips

[VdR] Portrait of Joaquim/Jack, an unemployed 63-year-old man who remembers his years as a taxi driver in New York in the 1970s. The director deconstructs reality mixing past and present, real with unreal. Through a texture reminiscent of the films of the seventies, Jack''s story, told in the first person, shows its own artificiality in a kind of fictional documentary that fits perfectly with a tragicomic character.
