Cuba & Alaska - Comments & Tips
[Sheffield '25] The optimism and friendliness of two Ukrainian paramedics contrasts with the chaotic and violent situation surrounding them, shown by the director without avoiding the crudeness of some images, especially when they care for the wounded. The drama of war, however, takes hold of the story as it develops, especially when the tone changes in the second act, after one of them suffers serious injuries that force them to separate. Despite their joviality, a touch of bitterness remains in the visits to relatives who now live in Spain, and in the feeling of irrecoverable lives in a country where the impact of the war is so great that it is impossible to go back, even if the conflict ends.
