Louis Theroux: Savile - Comments & Tips

Wow. Louis being honest to the bone as always. This is worse than reading the court documents really. Extremely unnerving and disturbing. Don’t watch this if you’re about to get triggered.

This was a bloody hard one to watch... What Louis Theroux is really good at, is bringing out feelings in the people that watch his films, and he certainly did it in this one. I actually got scared of the feelings this one brought up in me. I honestly want to piss on this mans grave (and a lot of other things I really can''t write about here), and it scared me... When it comes to the documentary, Louis manages to get through his feelings on the matter rather well. That he was fooled by this piece of shit, and that he struggles with that fact now. It ended up more about Louis himself and his feelings, rather than telling the stories of the victims. That''s my only complaint really, but, to me, that is a bit of a major one. My only advice if you want to watch this one is...read up on it before you take the plunge. Don''t go in unprepared. Jimmy Savile was a bloody monster, and it''s extremely hard to watch some of the footage Louis has of him. Especially when you now know the truth...
