Alex, Marty, and other zoo animals find a way to escape from Madagascar when the penguins reassemble a wrecked airplane. The precariously repaired craft stays airborne just long enough to make it to the African continent. There the New Yorkers encounter members of their own species for the first time. Africa proves to be a wild place, but Alex and company wonder if it is better than their Central Park home.

Personally I think this is better than the first film. Very entertaining but sometimes I just lost focus, there were times when I just lost interest in what was going on. Plus I was really happy to see Mort again, lil' cutie. 7/10 31/03/2019

Not quite as good as the first. It has basically the typical sequel issue - more of the same without adding much. That doesn't mean it's bad, though. Still very funny. The penguins in King Julien still get more laughs then the others.

When they make "Madagascar 3" (and they will), I want it to be about the Penguins. I found them to the best thing about the first Madagascar movie and they are once again the stars of the sequel. While the main characters Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, and Gloria the Hippo go More

Love the sequel as well. Honestly the whole series is pretty funny. This also kept me laughing almost throughout.
