Very typical 70s type slasher flick. Characters are interesting, with a few minor character changes throughout the movie. But overall, pretty slow-moving and not very engrossing. One or two jump scares, but nothing worth thinking twice about. The ending is a pretty cheesy attempt at setting up the sequel. I will, however, be checking out the 2nd and 3rd installments in the collection - just not in any big hurry.

I get what writer-director (and producer, editor, composer) Stevan Mena was trying to do (at least I think): an homage to 1980s slashers right down to the killer wearing a burlap-like sack over his head and a score straight out of Friday the 13th.
