Overview
Uniforms, morning roll call, order, and discipline determine life at a prestigious boarding school somewhere in the Himalayaโs misty foothills. 16-year-old Jaivardhana isnโt thriving in this authoritarian environment. An opportunity for temporary respite from this strict regime presents itself, when a former teacher visits the school and offers interested students a photography workshop. During Mr Sapruโs inspiring lessons, the young people donโt learn about depth of field or shutter speed, but they do learn to open their senses and experience the world around them.

[IFFR'22] A romantic coming-of-age inspired by the cultural tradition of India, a film of great dramatic richness, which expresses the connection between man and nature through a representation of love as a feeling connected with the cosmic, very suitable for the emotional effervescence of adolescence. There is a risky bet in the use of traditional theatrical expressions that are based on the leisurely rhythm of the movements, but it manages to be hypnotic and fascinating, which makes the film an eminently emotional experience.
