Beautiful goodbye to the best television show ever made (for me at least). You will be missed, Stranger Things 'lt;3

It's beautiful to see how being authentic and building something so great can create a family of amazing people. I'm so grateful you did this show seriously, one of the most beautifully produce thank you for everything you did and will do.

A good look behind the scenes of "Stranger Things" the ups and downs and the real emotions. It was a lot of work to complete the final season.. ๐Ÿ™ˆ Gonna miss this show.. ๐Ÿ‘ But all good things come to an end, sadly. ๐Ÿ‘

A typical documentary for a rather incredible series. To quote one commenter, it's probably one of the last series to feature such elaborate, real sets, not CGI-generated ones.

Take a drink every time Matt Duffer is wearing a movie t-shirt More emotional than the finale. Itโ€™s compelling to watch a group of people join together and put their efforts into creating something. The finished product becomes irrelevant when you get a taste of the journey.

I always love seeing behind the scenes stuff for the amazing chemistry that the actors have. And that ending .. oh my gosh, it was beautiful :) The crying, the speeches.. everything! Farewell, Stranger Things!

Behind the scenes are always fun to watch. Itโ€™s interesting to see how the magic is made. For massive fans who have already seen behind the scenes over the years, this documentary may feel repetitive. It revisits core elements of the show and Easter eggs that have already been widely shared and known by the fandom. That said, I wouldnโ€™t call it a waste. Beyond watching the Duffer brothers contradict their recent interviews and unintentionally expose how unorganized their writing process was, the documentary does highlight important elements that shaped the final season. One of the most entertaining moments was watching the writers openly disagree with the Duffersโ€ฆ an interaction that made it clear the brothers were aware of the criticism coming their way, yet chose to ignore it anyways. They ultimately bit off more than they could chew and struggled to stick the landing with this ending when it comes to the storytelling and lore being consistent and coherent. The real joy comes from the cast. Watching them bond behind the scenes, offer input on their characters, and read through scripts together was genuinely amazing. The cast is what made me fall in love with this show in the first place, and seeing everyone present again was easily the documentaryโ€™s best aspect. Overall, itโ€™s an arguably phenomenal documentary for viewers who have never seen behind the scenes content for the show. But for longtime fans who already know the lore, Iโ€™d probably skip it. There isnโ€™t much that feels new, and the Duffer Brothers can be frustrating to watch for anyone invested in storytelling. I wish they had included more cast focused moments and extended the script reads, but at this point, Iโ€™ve come to expect the Duffers to fall short.

"One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5" offers an engaging and insightful behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the highly anticipated fifth season of the beloved series. This documentary successfully captures the passion, creativity, and dedication of the cast and crew, providing fans with a rare glimpse into the intricate process of bringing the Stranger Things universe to life. The film excels in showcasing the collaborative efforts of the directors, producers, and various department heads, from makeup to set design, highlighting the meticulous attention to detail that defines the showโ€™s signature aesthetic. The interviews with key figures, including the cast and creative team, add a personal touch that deepens the viewerโ€™s appreciation for the series. While the documentary is a must-watch for fans eager to learn about the production challenges and triumphs, it also stands on its own as a compelling narrative about teamwork and artistic vision. The pacing is well-balanced, maintaining interest without overwhelming with technical jargon. However, the film could have benefited from a bit more focus on the storytelling aspects of the upcoming season to build greater anticipation. Nonetheless, it remains a highly enjoyable and informative experience that enriches the Stranger Things fandom. In summary, "One Last Adventure" is a well-crafted tribute to the making of a cultural phenomenon, earning a solid 8 out of 10 for its heartfelt and thorough exploration of the creative journey behind Stranger Things 5.

Decided to check in on this to see how exactly they fumbled this season so bad. It's so funny that they immediately said that happens to _other_ shows. The lack of self-awareness is evident here and outside on the Duffer's press run they went on. Hope, the teacher really said it best; the Duffers are not afraid of failing, and take big swings. I think they took too much of a swing in Season 5. They also state that they don't have time to write, but that would negate the whole year between the release of Season 4 and the production of Season 5. The way they are shown to direct demonstrates their good intentions, but only half-thinking through on things. Like talking about how they don't kill anyone off to maintain the fun balance. But they forget that Harry Potter grew with the kids and worked excellent, this needed to happen here I think. Sure it got more gory, but it didn't raise the stakes any higher aside superficial ones. Having said that, pretty much all the other content here in the documentary is interesting and is easily better than the season in terms of feeling rewarding. They dive well into the production and I found it very insightful, and even inspiring. Some wholesome moments, and some very obvious fake sappy stuff too. Shawn Levy I think is a true fan of the story, he always looks and sounds so happy to be there, I think this doco is pretty truthful. It clearly shows that other members of the project expressed concerns over some of the main gripes us as audiences have, and even how they also note the lack of script direction because it was unfinished really did not help set designers and the like. But the Duffers stuck to their gut, like they said they do. The actors also show that they are more in-tune with the lore than the big Ds. Seemingly trying to ask if their theory of the backstory is correct, and to compliment it; only to be met with them saying "yeah i like that way of looking at it". It must have felt like when the fans got gut punched for their theories when they admitted irreverence on the press tour. Well put-together and the only criticism with the documentary really is for a show of this scale, a 2 hour runtime is a bit of a let down. No post-production insight at all? It feels again like another oversight in planning. **7/10**
