This short film is impressively impactful, with a bleak and dark story that unfolds in an extremely creative and peculiar way. The combination of musical and animation gives the narrative a unique touch, while some disturbing images intensify the feeling of a constant nightmare.
terrifying.. too close to home
Interesting to say the least. Bizarre in a good way.
when you strip away the creepy animation the real horrors are within the narrative. based on interpretation the themes of neglect and abuse that unravel make the viewer look past the startling visuals. really, really, very heartbreaking, yet beautiful in all the wrong ways.
Incredibly unsettling visuals blend with songs that are equally catchy and unnerving, and a multilayered plot, Opal is a treat for the senses.
