This one was a pleasant surprise. It’s not some crazy, over-the-top blockbuster, but a very well-made movie that just works. The screenplay is super tight and never gets boring, which is a big win in my book. The writers had a simple, genius idea with the whole ancient board and its rules, and they followed them perfectly. It’s that kind of disciplined storytelling that makes you feel like you're in good hands. The main characters - Shaji, Jithin, and Ranjith, are all fantastic and have some real depth to them. They are well written and we'll played. Their performances feel genuine, and I loved how their journeys played out. While the supporting characters could have been more fleshed out, their limited screen time doesn't detract from the main narrative's strength. There’s a great line in the movie where one of them says, It’s a game, you know? Just with slightly higher stakes. That pretty much sums up the whole vibe. The comedy lands almost every single time, which is a rare feat. You just find yourself laughing along with their ridiculous situation. The director and writer deserve major props for creating something so original and fun. This is the kind of movie that shouldn't go under the radar. It's a testament to the fact that you don't need a huge budget to tell a great story. A fun, smart, and totally worth-it watch.
