the speed with which this moves from something tender and comforting even with the sense of things being off (almost hesitated to include this for seasonal festivities even?) into an absolute fucking nightmare knocked me on my ass. went into this mostly fresh/without knowing too much and was left completely rattled. probably one of the most impactful endings i've seen in recent memory? well i loved it. incredible set design, colors, and performances. i can see how and why people aren't into it as much but this was really special to me. deeply identified with Demir, perhaps to an unexpected extent. will absolutely watch whatever Gem Deger does next if more comes someday.
