Santa Jaws - Comments & Tips

Trying to review Santa Jaws is to pretend this is even a movie; this was a paycheck. I'm sure the crew had fun making it, and good for them, but when I say the movie peaks in the first five minutes, I don't mean that in a nice way, or...In any way really, because this movie isn't really worth thinking about in depth beyond its admittedly memeable name.

'gt;*"Christmas lights in the boat propeller. That's a new one."* As if Christmas family diners weren't horrible enough, there's a murderous shark that ate evil Santa therefore gaining his powers. It's actually as fun and stupid as it sounds. I love the design for Santa Jaws, it wears a Santa hat on it's fin, has eyes that glow like Rudolph's nose, has Christmas lights attached to it to drag people into the water and even a pointy candy cane that comes out from it's forehead. The lore, comic book and pen creates some ground rules for this deadly shark and that made it interesting. The characters are entertaining, that influencer girl was my favorite she's so funny. The puns and one-liners are mostly hit. Very festive with the Christmas decorations and music. The shark effects aren't that bad actually, much better than most shark movies. The kills are ok but I wish they were better and more bloody. Good solution and ending. This was a fun watch. 'gt;*"Ho ho ho... you son of a fish!"*

I am embarrassed to give this a positive review. It wasn''t bad as these SyFy monster creature features generally are. Probably because it barely relies on the title creature at all. The characters on land were fun and sometimes even funny and the idea was so ridiculous, it worked despite the cheese. Don''t pay for this thing, (free on Prime) for goodness sake, but it is more nice than naughty.
