Sin Ultra

Darkly satirical dance film exploring crime drama tropes; ideal for fans of Twin Peaks or Black Mirror, not for squeamish viewers.

Overview

The world of film and television is mad about dead young women: thrillers and crime dramas present a succession of attractive, partially clad female corpses. In this dance film, Amanda Kramer takes us into a cardboard factory that logs such corpses, complete with torn stockings and photogenic fake blood.

Featured Comments/Tips

[IFFR'22] A surreal, videodance vision, about a group of factory workers in which the inert bodies of women are photographed and classified. It's the representation of fetishized death, of violence on female bodies that is shown on tv and in the cinema. When one of the corpses seems to come to life, with dance movements, the chain of work breaks down, but returns to the routine of mutilated bodies and fake blood.
