Definetely the worst of the new movies so far, but doesn’t sink to episode 1 or 2 levels of bad either. Pros: - Alden Ehrenreich (yes, really) and Donald Glover are great. - Very competently put together action sequences, the train heist in particular. - Beautiful cinematography (though at times too desaturated for my liking). - Any moment between Chewie and Han, their first meeting in particular. - A very good score (although it could’ve been more tense during some of the action sequences). - Production design/locations. Cons: - Holy fuck, that L3 droid is annoying! (I’m not one of those whiny people who sees SJW politics in everything, but here, that assessment would be completely justified). - Lack of character development for the Qi’ra and Beckett characters. - Loses a lot of steam after the first act. - Predictable in its third act, it has twists you see coming from five miles away. - Some of Emilia Clarke’s line delivery is too forced. Rating: 5.5/10

Wow. Really liked this movie. The look of it is very dark and kind of dirty but on the other side it's a lot of fun and I thought the stoey was pretty interesting and exciting. Can't wait to watch it at home in 4K.

While it's frequently visually stunning, it remains overall uninspired. Not a lot is wrong with Han Solo but not enough is right.

If I can sum up it up in one word, it's a giant "meh." I liked all of the new Star Wars up until this point, but this one was so forced. It didn't help that they had to reshoot more than half the movie with a different director, albeit with the great Ron How More
