Song at Midnight - Comments & Tips

This was a tough watch, because my copy of the film was very poor quality and the subtitles were worse than "all your base are belong to us." Still, the power of the movie came through, even despite my hesitation after hearing it described as Phantom-esque. This felt less horror-bound, and more of a tragic story involving an earth-bound disfiguring act of violence set amidst the chaos of revolution. I'd love to try this again if it ever gets a good restoration, because I'm sure I missed more than half due to the subtitles.

The original title of the film is Ye ban ge sheng.
