[Raindance '25] Through a disturbing atmosphere and a persistent soundtrack, the director manages to create an esoteric environment while simultaneously crafting social commentary on the pornography of poverty, but without managing to make the two elements find a way to coexist within a balanced narrative. The film aims to offer an atmospheric experience, but this pretense sometimes clouds a perspective that seeks to be more resonant and relevant. There is a creative and original visual concept, and an interesting elaboration of disturbing environments that are underscored by a constant music, but it fails to fully unite the supernatural background with the denunciation of social realities.
