[DOK.fest '25] Focusing her gaze on a group of domestic animals in a small village in the Pirin Mountains, Bulgaria, the director balances and equalizes the relationship between them and humans by placing the camera at their level. She seems to be reflecting on the traditional superior position of humankind over nature and the living beings in their care, who in reality evaluate human actions. The representation of animals is presented as a projection of human fears and anxieties, and this mystical nature best defines a film that walks between superstition and reality, constructing a poetic vision that can sometimes seem too imprecise.
