Love at the Christmas Contest - Comments & Tips

Incredible charming and fun, _Love at the Christmas Contest_ is a delightful family film. The story follows a young woman who enters a tree decorating contest to honor her mother’s memory, and falls for her old high school sweetheart and his daughter who are in the competition. Samantha Cope, Ross Jirgl, and Eliza Donaghy lead the cast and give good performances; Donaghy in particular is quite impressive for a child actress. Also, the comedy is especially well-done, and has a quirky sense of humor. Still, there are times when the budget limitations show, and the plot is fairly predictable. Yet while it has some weaknesses, _Love at the Christmas Contest_ is a heartwarming romantic comedy that’s festively entertaining.

Humor should not be attempted unless you are a well trained professional. This show lacked energy.
